DirecTV Category Changes

Anyone know why DirecTV decided to change the way the categories work? I now have 1 local channel and a XM radio station under my local category and various other channels have moved to different categories... I can understand moving some of them but why mess with the local category. I was a nice way to get a quick view of the channel and their programming?
