I was wondering if I could use my Dish 500 To get both Directv Sats instead of buying a new Directv Oval Dish.

And also can I just attach another LNB to the Dish 500 to get the Directv 101 without installing another dish?

I currently used dish but if possible would like to do this either way

Thanks
Brian

Yes you can.
You need another LNB and some wire ties.
You want to strap the additional LNB to the 110 LNB on the Dish 500.
Before you strap it down tight you should move the LNB around a bit to get the strongest signal. When you got the signal peaked, then strap down the LNB.

Another potion would be to go and buy a DTV 18x24 dish, set it up and add the extra standard DTV LNB to tghe SAT C Kit spot (points at 110)
then take one output from the 119 LNB and one output from tghe 110 LNB and run them into a SW21, and then use the multiswitch that came with the 18x24 dish to hookup the 119 LNB and the 101 LNB into the DTV receiver

Here is someone who is using an oval dish to get both services.

One thing to watch out for, E* SW21 switches do not work with D* equipment. E* equipment changes voltage to switch, D* equipment sends a 22KHz signal to switch.
