Is it possible to use either the ethernet or USB ports to download my DVR recorded movies from the 622?

No plans have been announced for the ethernet port. The USB port can be used today to connect to a "PocketDish" to provide portable viewing and will be available next year for storage to an external USB drive. But the concept of "downloading" usually involves more than lowrez view and delete or storage ... If you mean "downloading" to a PC or other device for editing that is not a feature that E* is looking at. (They have too many contracts with content providers to allow that level of access to their content.)
