hr 20 guide update problems

Newbie here so bare with me.

How long does it take the guide to update after resetting reciever?

I have reset my reciever a couple of times and get the online guide updated about 3 hours out. I have checked back 24 hours later and all I have listed is the words" regularly scheduled" for every channel.

I don't get this. Is 24 hours not long enough. Its very frustrating.

The Guide Data should be repopulated within 12-24 hours after a reset/reboot.

I just did a red button reset about 15 mins ago...my guide is fully populated for the next couple hours already.

You might try a "power down" reset. By that I mean, pull the power plug, let it sit for 5 mins or so...plug power back in, then let it go through the full reboot cycle. Don't play with the remote or any buttons on the front panel until the full picture and audio from a channel reappear. Then...don't go into the guide....wait 15 minutes, then look in the guide and see if you have anything.
