Anyone gotten a deal on their 2nd HR20 HD DVR?

Just curious if anyone here has called up DIRECTV and gotten a 2nd HD-DVR at a good deal/discounted price?

I'm all set to buy from CircuitCity online for $299 -10%, but if I can do better...why not. Any other online sources to check out?

Check with retention first... you may just get a second unit for free, the HSP for your area will come out and deliver it and set it up for free. That way you don't have to worry about wiring the house, and setting it up yourself.

I have read posts from members who have gotten second units for free (HR20). Do a search...

I checked. No go w/ retention. 3 payments of $99.96 + $19.95 s/h, with $19.95 credited back to me....

I already have quite a few programming credits from 3 consecutive botched installs of the AT9 dish - so maybe that's why she really wouldn't offer me anything this call.

Looks like I'll just purchase locally. No "botched" installs that way either.

I got my 2nd one for 99.96. The retention lady said there would be 3 99.66 charges but for the second and third payments there would be credits to offset the charges. so tyhe bottom line is I pay 99.66 plus tax for 2nd unit installed with an extra multiswitch also at n/c.

I had to go through 2 csr's before they sent my call to the dealmaker.
