Will we ever get more HD Channels? [Archive]

I am not aware of any new HD channels since D* added TNT (CH 75) over a year ago. Everytime I ask about this...they always tell me within the year...and I have been asking for over 2 years. Any news or ETA's for more HD channels? How about Comcast sports...specific to me are the Cubs games and other Chicago sports.

You should already have Comcast SportsNet Chicago HD!!!

You will have to wait for the next satellite launch before there will be additional space to broadcast HDTV on. And it will be 3-6 months after the launch before broadcastin can take place on the Spaceway satellites.

I.E. Most likely about another year before things are up and running with the new sats. And then who knows what channels D* will sign up with. Re: the all cricket channel.
