HP6580n and VP622 Remote Codes

I did a search on here and could not find a definitive answer so thought I'd just ask... I'm using a VIP 622 receiver with my HP6580n set and cannot get the DISH remote to program in my HP set and wondered if anyone had found success with this. I'm also on the D36 firmware. I've tried setting the DISH remore using the normal setup instructions but could not find a code to work via that method. Thx

I'm using a VIP 622 receiver with my HP6580n set and cannot get the DISH remote to program in my HP set and wondered if anyone had found success with this.I can't confirm one way or the other, but I spoke with a friend from HP this morning and they suggested that you try the Philips remote codes.

If you go through the process to try all of the remote codes programmed into the remote, and none of them work, then you're out of luck. A lot of the higher end equipment and a lot of the new models can't be controlled by the dish remotes.
