Has anyone had a problem where multiple receivers start loosing their color to the point where the picture turns red? The person involved has 2 D-11 receivers and 1 R-15. All are showing pictures shaded very far to the red tint. It started w/local channels first but has gone to all channels. We just put in a new R-15 and it has also started doing the same thing.

Thanks,
Greg

It's hard to see how this could be a Receiver problem, especially with so many different ones. This is much more likely a TV problem. Is this happening on the same TV, or different TVs?

3 different TV's. All doing the same thing. That is what has me so puzzled.

Is there a switch? If so, disconnect it and hook up one line straight through and see if the color improves.

Did that. It turned out to be a bad D-10 that was backfeeding over the line to the switch. Discovered it through hit or miss troubleshooting. Never seen one do that before. Replaced it with a D-11 refurb and the problem went away.

Thanks for the replies.

I think you mean through the logical process of elimination as opposed to 'hit or miss troubleshooting.'

Never sell yourself short! Good job! :)

Actually, the thanks goes to one of my technicians who did not give up. Even when DTV Tech support could not figure it out. I think the guys out in the field don't get the credit they deserve for a job well done.
