I have 4 recievers connected to this switch..but recently one of my recievers "phillips" brand is having trouble dectecting switch..the other three recievers are Echostar brand and no problems with them..My question is: Can part of the switch be bad? either from inclimate weather..or transformer is bad? I have retraced the input to and from the switch..unhook and hooked back up to switch...I am starting to get part of the recption back but channels 172/173 disney not coming in? seems to be sat. 119 transp.'s 11 & 19 not recieving any signal? The phillips reciever is only recieving 119 when I check the switch? All three of the other recievers are recieving these channels fine? sorry so long..any suggestions?

I guess the easiest thing to try first is move the Phillips receiver to another input on the switch by simply swapping the receiver with one of the Echostar receivers inside the house. If the problem moves, it's the receiver. If the problem does NOT move, then you might have a problem with the switch.

You might also look for any connections on the Phillips receiver line that might have corrosion. Corrosion could cause loss of specific frequencies as you are describing.

Also, water in the line could cause similar problems. It will be hard to tell whether the cable is wet though. If you do not have weatherproof connectors with O-Rings, I would replace the cable.
