HR20 installed Saturday. In yesterdays Sant Ana's I lost the local HD channels. Checked signal strengths - 101-1=80, 110-8=83, 119-22=70, 103-1=30:(
This morning with no wind, the signal strengths are 85, 86, 73, 48 respectively.
With 48 on sat 103, the local HDs seem stable, so I suspect the initial install was marginal and any degradation will be a problem.

Tech is scheduled out Saturday to realign dish. Before he gets here I would like to know what signal strengths to expect in the Los Angeles area so I can check before he leaves. Does anyone know what signal strengths should be?

Also, I get 0 on sat 99, but don't seem to need it, is this right?

In the San Diego area I get mid 80's to mid 90's on the 101º bird transponders except got a 77 and 79 on 17 and 18 today.

Similar numbers for tuner 2.

According to a CSR, no 99º bird readings available in our area at this time.

The techs came yesterday and readjusted the tilt, apparently the wind pushed it back. Now I get 101-1=87, 110-8=93, 119-22=83, 103-1=73. :)

They just used the HR20 signal meter on the TV to make the adjustment.
