For or against the Merger

It won't matter anyway, both companies can't survive on their own. I think both companies missed that boat on gaining subscribers and even combined won't be able to keep adding subs at the rate they are now.

Every part of the country should pay the exact same

If LIL ever becomes available everywhere, it must never be forced upon us as cable cos. do.

EVERY box must be swapped out with an EQUAL OR BETTER box FREE.

SKY ANGEL must NOT BE HURT IN ANY WAY

They must agree to both stop placing fake PPV charges on bills, and agree to remove any PPV charge in dispute upon "reasonable evidence" it wasn't ordered (keep a log of orders on the receiver visable to both them through a phone call and to the customer). If there remains a dispute, the charge MUST STILL be removed, but the merged company reserves the right to prevent the account from ordering further movies.

I am against for two reasons:

1. huge, merged companies are never concerned with the individual customer's needs. Without competition between DBS providers, service will become more expensive.

2. Equipment issues. People with Directv aren't very excited to move to E* equipment, especially pvr owners.

I have many concerns about the merger.

Yet when I weigh everything the goods out number the bads just ever so slightly.

So using my scale I voted yes for the merger.

Charlie love him or hate him is the lesser of two evils. I would rather see him get it then Rupert.

And even Mr. Ergen, i dont think he is evil. I think he has gotten away doing things unpleasing but they were in best interest for his company or the intention was so.

I am for it but I am beginning to think that the DoJ is aagainst it. And frankly they carry alittle more weight than I do.
