Hello,
I'm new to this forum and have a somewhat basic question concerning transponders. While setting up my Direct TV system this past weekend, and searching thru the transponders, I noticed that some transponders have a higher signal strength than others. For example, 12 has the maximum signal strength of 93 while others are in the 40's. It is an RCA system with a 18" round dish, dual LNB and two receivers. The manual doesn't say anything about which transponders to use when aligning the dish. Does the dish need additional tweaking? In spite of the strong signal, I lost every station on Saturday night during light rain. Thanks.
