I have a friend who has the HR10-250 and since the last update his MX-500 remote control isn't working properly. When he pushes a button it sends multiple commands with a single push. He has tried to reprogram the remote. It isn't isolated to just one unit he has two HR10-250's and is getting the same response on both.
Not sure if this is the appropriate forum but I couldn't find one dedicated to the HR10-250.
THanks for any help and advice.

Lots of knowledgeable members in this forum, but you probably will get the most information here:

I would also highly recommend checking out:

Suggest you reprogram the MX-500, this time using the following technique with the learning feature. With the original TiVo peanut remote pointed at the MX-500 in learn mode, just briefly tap each button, do not hold the button. You want to transmit a quick IR pulse so that each IR command does not repeat. If you still have problems you can also try the forum here (http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-master/list.cgi).

My MX500 still works fine with my HR10-250. I had used hiker's technique and "learned" my Tivo remote's commands to the HR10-250.
