But does anyone know how to tune directly into the "Standard Definition" Locals? I leve in the L.A. market and get both the feeds. I am just curious if there is a direct tune or if you have to scroll to them.

Not sure what you mean, if you are talking satellite locals, you should have a channel number you can direct tune to. If your talking OTA, the HR20 does not have a NTSC tuner for non-digital broadcasts.

I dont think there is a way, other than "hiding" the HD channels from your favorites list, or if you are (un)lucky enough to have the SD channels come before the HD channles.

That won't do it. Even if the HD channels are hidden, directly tuning to the channel will pull up the HD channel. This is why it was such a big deal to get the HD channels listed first in the guide.

Plus I don't believe the HR-20 has an anolog tuner, digital only.

Edit: Oops, I quess he is referring to something different.

He's referring to the satellite-delivered SD locals, but you are correct. The HR20 does not have an analog NTSC tuner.

You are correct that the HR20 doesn't do analogue, but if you have both the HD locals and the SD locals via satellite, how does one tune directly to either? Answer is you can't, but one does go directly to the first appearing in the guide.

Cheers,
