Dead system and audio-less recording

If I leave my receiver on a long time with no activity, the video goes dead and none of the remote signals work except on/off.  Anybody know what's up with that?

Also, once every 15 or 20 recordings when I play back the audio won't play.  Sometimes I can fast forward to almost the end of the recording, get the audio to come on, rewind back to the beginning and the audio will work and sometimes I can't get the audio to work at all.  Anybody know what's up with that?

Sounds like it's time to reboot.

BTW, I would recommend powering it off when you're not using it or at least overnight so it can get the EPG updates.

I thought you would get the Software and EPG updates automatically, even if you left the unit on?...

I've head this problem at least once with watching live with delay. Not sure what causes it since it's so rare, but it's a definate bug.

I've had the problem on my 721 also watching live with delay. No amount of FF/REW fixed the problem. Neither did switching to PIP & back. What DID fix the problem was changing to a different channel and then changing back.
