Is my HR20 dead?

Was watching it this morning then left for awhile. Came home and the receiver was off and wouldn't turn on. Left unplugged for about 30 minutes then plugged in again. Blue power light comes on for about 10 seconds then goes off. No other lights come on. I disconnected everything from the back of the unit. Left unplugged for awhile again and get same results. Is it dead? Anything to try?

Do you hear any disk drive noise? If so, consider next point. If not, bad box.

Verify that you are connecting via component, not HDMI.

If yes to both above - start over. Unplug for 15 min. Plug in - Power on - Walk away. Get distract and stop watching "water boil". In about an hour it will all magically be working.

PS - It doesn't hurt to sacrifice a chicken or other suitable fowl.
