Ok, so I can't wait to use this feature, sounds a bit better than the old service. I found this interesting in the Q&A:

"Q. Do I need any special DIRECTV equipment to watch NASCAR HotPass?

A. No. All DIRECTV receivers allow you to view NASCAR HotPass channels. However, some additional interactive features may be included in the package, which will require an interactive receiver to use those added features. The D10, D11, HR20 models are all interactive at this time."

I guess the R15 is not interactive? I'm sure they left it out for a reason, I'm going to guess I'll need one of those receivers to get the benefit of the full package. Our Dtivo's are second class citizens here.

You're right, DTivos won't work. And I believe that active features have not yet been turned on for the R15s.

Wow, that sure fooled my R15 on the interactive features for the NFL Sunday Ticket then!

I believe you are mistaken, the R15 does have interactive features turned on.

I stand corrected. I thought there was a newer model receiver for which the interactive feature was not yet turned on. I don't really have any interest in it, though, so I haven't really paid any attention to it.

Thanks for straightening me out! :)

I think that the person that wrote the FAQ just forgot about the R15. Usually don't they just say D10 and later receivers?

There is a newer model receiver that doesn't have interactive features turned on. The H20 HD Non-DVR receiver.

For my 3 week trial of the R15, it was interactive when 'it' felt like it!
