Hi,
I currently have a Super dish which is set up for 110, 119 and 121(set up 2 yrs back). I have a new receiver activated and i can't get 118 reception. Is there anything that needs to be replaced on the dish itself? LNBF maybe??
I am pretty new here and i would really appreciate if you could point me in the right direction.
Do i need to get a new dish500+?
Thank you in advance.

you need either a dish 500+ or a dish 1000+ to pick up a signal from 118. presumably you are asking this question because you want HD locals in the detroit market. you'll need a different dish to get this.

118° requires a special LNB ... it comes with that Dish500+. You probably could get the LNB for a 500+ and hack it on to your SuperDish in place of your current LNBs, repoint and get a signal - but it isn't easy. Get a Dish500+.

Wow..lot of tinkering around to LNBs. I guess i will have to buy a new 500+ then!

Also, the existing superdish doesn't always get all the channelse from 119. It's on and off . I did the switch test, 119 failed..what seems to be the problem?
