A problem with my 721 replacement receiver

When I bring it out of standby mode it just brings up a black screen and I have to reboot it. This morning I had a timer set for 11AM and at 11:30 i noticed it hadn't fired so I looked and yep it was a black screen after coming out of standby. So I rebooted and the timer fired even though 30 mins late. Any ideas? I think it is probably a software glitch and I don't want to call DISH because they will probably want to RA it again and I doubt that's necessary.

Mine does the samething sometimes.
I've had mine hang up after it being on for a couple days, it goes into the screensaver and somtimes hangs up.

If I reboot daily, I have no problems. The 501 used to be like this,
at least for me. After a firmware upgrade the 501 now is stable.
I can't remember the last time I had to reboot mine.

thats good to know that it is probably a software glitch then.
