Hi,
I thought I would post my thoughts on the game lounge. Realizing it hasn't been released to everyone, I have enjoyed it. Some might complain about how long it takes to load the games, the game play itself is quite good. The graphics would be compareable to the original NES system, and the game selection is somewhat limited right now. I was also suprised that the game lounge wasn't shut down during the NFL ST games. Overall I would recommend the game lounge, to others.

Game Lounge play is currently only available on the D10-100, D10-200, and D11.
Access will become available on D10-300 in Jan 2007.
H20, HR20, and R15: Mid-2007.

Those are the expected dates until further notice.

I have to say I am shocked that they did not try to push this to the receivers that they are promoting the most.

On the other hand with all the problems still to be fixed on the 15 and 20 I would day they are doing the right thing.

Overall I really want to see VOD come before anything else anyway.

There seems to be some cool games for this service though. Maybe they weill run a few free days when it comes online to the 15 and 20 series so we can all try it out.

They are kind of spot testing right now. The D10 and D11 have many more users than the R15 and HR20 combined (and according to the website, the service works better on non-HD receivers). All of the games have demos and the Plus receivers will be getting off-disk games that aren't possible with the non-DVR receivers. So it's all good.
