Hello,
I hope this ? is alright in this forum...
I recently reactivated an old UTV(DWD490RE) to replace a DirecTivo with a bad hard-drive. Now I can't get some of my locals. I'm using a 3-way dish(101, 110, 119) and a seperate dish(72.5) running through a Sam 6802 multi-switch. Is this receiver not capable of seeing 72.5 or is there another dish set-up I could use to get all my local channels? (I assuming the ones I'm getting are coming in on the 110 location.) Thanks for any help!

I'm pretty sure that those old Ultimate TV DVRs cannot receive locals from the 72.5-deg satellite. They were designed, deployed and discontinued long before DirecTV started using that satellite.

Are you sure your locals come from 72.5? Where are you located?

Yep...according to Directv-but like I said, I think a few of them are on the 110(?) position.

You need to post your exact zip code where your UTV is physically located so we can help you.

The ultimate TV receivers are not compatable with the 72.5 satellite

Not 100% sure, but 99%

Your Myrtle Beach local stations are indeed beamed from 72.5 ....

According to Lyngsat http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/directvusa110.html, only HD channels are from 110 (Echostar has some locals there, however).
