I have a relatively simple problem, but the solution evades me.

I have a Sun Ultra 1 machine with a TGX framebuffer (cgsix).
Like a lot of people, I don't have a Sun-branded monitor laying around with a 13w3 connector on it, so I bought a adapter to let me use a VGA monitor. I come to find out that the default screen resolution for this framebuffer is 1152x900 @66Hz. I haven't found a PC monitor yet that will support that. I've seen some methods for changing the resolution of the framebuffer, but none so far that worked. Any ideas?

Either get a Sun monitor,
or replace your Sun with
something better.

I can give you some
ideas for something
better, if you like.

Its your lucky day. I had the same problem about 2 years ago. These are the monitors I'm running:

2 Viewsonic PS790 connected to a Sparc 20 and two Princeton EO75's on Sparc 10s. I used the connectors provided by Viewsonic.
