I have at the moment a silver surfer for ota with my h20. [I dont care about the hr20 so please dont comment if you do not have an h20] what is the minimum signal strenght needed to get a STRONG lock on an ota digital channel with this box? I have a terrestrial digital db8 with a channel master 7777 on the way so the reception will be much better soon but I would like an idea of non pixellation quality signal with this box.

the word in the topic is supposed to be STRENGTH.

70+

If you are getting less then 70, then you are not going to get a strong reliable signal.

But even if you have 99%... you are going to have drop outs on occasion.

Earl is right. The H20 has a fairly sensitive tuner, so it will hold up fairly well and be somewhat watchable in the high 40s and above. Obviously you want as much signal as you can get, though.
