I am without my SAT right now, but still have my indoor antenna which works great hooked up.

Is there anyway I can watch my OTA football games today even though the dish is disconnected at this time.

It doesn't seem the HR20 allows this, my old reciever used to be able to get OTA even if the SAT signal was disconnected or down for something else (snow etc).

Seems like D* got rid of a great backup.

Can someone disconnect their SAT and see if they can still recieve OTA? I have the activated card in there so that shouldn't be a problem.

No, it won't work to receive OTA without a dish and sat service.

Actually, as long as you can change to the OTA channel and you have DTV service, you can watch the OTA signals w/o the DTV dish connected. I was at a buddy's house the other day while his new MPEG-4 dish was being installed and we successfully watched some OTA HD while the installer replaced dishes.
