View Full Version : Did FF and Rewind change how they work recently?

I could have sworn that at some time in the recent past, the FF and Rewind buttons scrolled around from, for example, FF-4 to FF-1.
Now it just stops at FF-4 and pressing the Rewind button then moves it back down to FF-3, -2, etc.
Did I miss that "improvement" at some point?

Do you have 0x115 software? I'll have to give this a try.

I'm pretty sure it's been like that for a long time. Just hit play or replay to stop the FF'ing or RW'ing.

As near as I can remember, my FF and RW buttons always started at 1 with 1 push, 2 with 2 pushes, etc., up to 3 or 4 depending on which release. I don't remember it scrolling around from 4 to 3, etc.

An improvement that I apparently missed reading about is that you can now use the right and left arrow keys when in a tabbed menu and it will change tabs. It used to be that you had to use the red and green buttons to tab, but I don't remember seeing anything about this change and in what release.

Yeah, I understand that part; how to stop if from FF'ing or RW'ing.
I just didn't remember the other part.
I remember repeatedly hitting FF did: FF-1, FF-2, FF-3,FF-4,FF-off, FF-1 etc. Likewise with RW.
Now the sequence ends at FF-4 and to go backwards you hit the RW button, so that continuous hitting of RW, if you were at FF-4, results in:
FF-3,FF-2,FF-1,PLAY,RW-1,RW-2,RW-3,RW-4.

Unless I'm not remembering correctly.

I'm not sure if it was like that before; but I'm running 115 and it works that way for me. I think this is very helpful; you can be at FF4 and slow down as you get to where you think commercials are going to end.

I like it.

Yeah. I like it, too. I was just wondering if I was crazy or not. This might not be the determining factor however.
