Ok:
I just upgraded last night to the E* HD package and the 622... Finally got a deal... However, in my talking with three different CSR's, I received different answers from all of them on multiple questions about fees, etc..

Here is one question I was hoping y'all could help with:

HD Enabling Fee: Apparently if you do not subscribe to one of the HD bronze, silver, or gold packages, you will be charged an HD enabling fee of $6 or 7 dollars, cant remember as the CSR's quoted me different numbers... But here is the question.. WHAT HD channels will you get with that? I was told by one CSR that all of my locals would in HD, and I was told by another, that if I subscribed to the Top 120 and locals, and only paid the enabling fee, that I would get all of the channells that i currently subscribed too in HD if it was availabe... Like, Espn, Espn2, locals, TNT, etc...

I asked specifically about ESPN's, and she said YES, you would get that... the other CSR said No i wouldnt... and the third had no clue at all! I had to instruct her on what fees would be added to my bill with my package! HOW HARD WOULD IT BE FOR E* TO TRAIN THESE PEOPLE! :nono2:

All in all I'm happy with my upgrade, but Anyone know the answer?

If you do not subscribe to any of the HD packages (where the channels you listed are on) you are charged the enabling fee in order to use your OTA tuner. The charge has nothing to do with getting Dish supplied channels.

So Dish Locals in HD would not even be included?

Yes the Dish hd channels would be seen if you sub to the sd versions and they are available in your area, but no national hd channels since you don't take a hd pack.
