I am SO damn fed up with these Directv units already...

So my HR10 has rebooted about 10 times today.

And my HR20 is continuously locking up when watching/recording 24.

WTF am I supposed to do? I have 3 "partials" on my Tivo, and the HR20 is completely hosed up.

I am so sick and tired of these pieces of junk...

WHY THE HELL CAN'T THEY JUST WORK?????????????????????????????

Sounds like the hard drive is hosed on your hr10. Directv will replace it with an hr 20 if you want, but it will become a lease even if you owned the hr10. You could always go out and buy a new hard drive for your hr10 from weaknees.com with the software already installed for as low as $169.00. That way if you own your hr10, you will still own it and it should be working properly again.

take a deep breath and visualize a peaceful coexistance with directv, feeling grateful for the status in your life which allows u to have as much as you do.

Step 1. Get a bit torrent client
Step 2. Become a member of a decent bit torrent site
Step 3. Connect PC to TV.

Now mind you, I advise this only as the last resort for those who are already paying for programming, hardware, and the extra charge to be able to record TV, yet can't due to issues with said service.

I myself am finally happy with my HR20, but it took quite awhile, and LOTS of downloading missed recordings to get here.
