I have 46" Mitsubishi rear projection HDTV. I have a DTV R15-100 connceted by S-Video and I notice a lot of artifacting on most TV shows. I don't have HD yet (travesty, I know) so I'm wondering what I can do to improve my picture quality without going to HD ready receiver that would have component connections that I am assuming would give me better picture quality on all channels. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

If you don't mind using the tv to switch your sources, component would definitely be the way to go. Otherwise, you might be stuck.

Are your settings on your receiver set to widescreen?.Try different connections to
reduce artifacting coax/av then adjust your TV accordingly for the best picture. If still not satisfied have TV professionally adjusted. The last resort would be to be sure to watch TV at least 15' from the screen.Good Luck!:)

The newest televisions have much better electronics for processing SD content. Some of the older televisions looked like garbage no matter how good the SD content.
