After the wonderful ice storm that hit New Hampshire yesterday, I've lost my MPEG-4 channels on my HR20. Everything is working fine other than HD locals and NESN HD. When I look at the dish, there are icicles dangling from the Furthest right (looking head on at the LNB's not the dish) LNB.

Would that be the one that is receiving the HD locals? Climbing on an icy roof is not my idea of fun, I'm hoping a small temperature spike will clear up the problem.

When I look at the dish, there are icicles dangling from the Furthest right (looking head on at the LNB's not the dish) LNB.The LNBF on the West end of the array picks up the Easternmost satellites and is the one in question. From your description, ice accumulation is likely the problem, but only if the ice is covering the face of the horn.

It doesn't take much to perturb Ka band signals where the Ku band signals are still coming through.

Yep, that's the one that is covered in ice. Bummer. Unseasonably warm weather all this time, and as soon as the first ice storm hits the forcast is for more than a week with temps not going over 30 degrees.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. You wouldn't be willing to fly across the country and get on an icy roof too would you? :)
