From posts on this site and others, it is clear that the problems I am having the the HR20-700 are because of the version of the software I have (10b). I have missed the chances to force a download of versions that might at least mitigate the issues.
My question is simple, without checking this forum several times a day, is there some other way to know when the windows for download will occur?

Sure is. Follow the instructions in Earl's thread on getting notifications: http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=73172
Some of us also forward said notifications to our phones/pagers/GF's text device :)
And welcome to the forums! :welcome_s
Cheers,
