My channels, does this work?

I'm new to DTV so please forgive me. I've seen a lot of complaints about the program guide showing all channels even when you choose show the channels I get. It drives me nuts as does most others. I was on D's web site today and logged in and found that I could make some settings for the guide to "show what I get" and then it let me create a favorites list and miniguide (didn't do the last).

Does this work and fix the problem? I won't be home until after 6 tonight and I'm curious if it will solve the "channels I get" problem.

No... there is no connection yet between DirecTV.com and the DVRs

You have to set the favorites on the receiver itself and then select that you want to display the favorites.
