remote codes

I was wondering if I could use the hr20 remote to conrol the volume on my Bose surround sound. The Bose remote is a rf style and I also set the hr20 remote to rf. I tried the one code in the setup guide under "bose" but it didnt work. I tried it in both rf an ir and niether worked?? I am not sure what model remote I have but it has a fcc#MG32481 on the back of it.

The HR20 remote's RF mode is only compatible with RF-capable DirecTV Receivers and DVRs, not other brands with RF remotes.
