If you connect the HR20 to your PC will that allow you to burn recorded material onto a DVD through my computers DVD burner or is only for music and pictures at this time?

No..

It is only Music and Pictures, right now. Videos FROM the PC is planned.
But right now, I don't think there are any plans to go HR20->PC

Only if you have a video capture card on your PC, and connect it to the composite audio/video outputs on the HR20. But not via the USB or network connections.

By networking your HR20, it allows you to play music and view jpegs stored on your pc. You cant take anything from the HR20 and copy/transfer it to your PC...

If they did allow content to be sent from the HR20 to a pc, I suspect that it would be limited to 480i, with all the DRM rules that the MPAA has pushed through Congress.

I do it using component output thru an ADS Tech Instant DVD Capture box works great but not in HD of course

whats the quality like with that method? can you post/PM me a picture?

Where did you buy that box from. i've heard about it but can to find it.
