I have a friend that was a customer of a different satellite company that didn't charge mirroring fees.

Well, he is thinking about getting an HR-20, but he is concerned that DTV is going to give him a hard time about an additional receiver. He currently has 4 receivers. Due to the position in his house of some receivers, he can't easily connect them to a phone line.

LONG STORY short, I have seen posts about audits due to too many receivers. Does anyone know - FOR SURE - what number of receivers flips that audit flag for DTV?

Thanks!

I have 8 and have never been audited. Not all are connected to phone lines due
to lack of phone jacks.

I too have 8 receivers in use with no problems. Tell your friend to be up front with D* when calling for authorizing of the mirrored unit. If no phone line, tell them. They get upset if PPVs are ordered on non phone line units and don't show up for long periods. I have only 3 units on phone lines and I only order PPV on those receivers. RV's rearly have phone lines and D* allows them.
