I have just received a replacement 510 from Dish about three weeks ago. Everytime I click the Guide button, it asks me to download the program information. I let it download several times, sometimes overnight. Rebooted several times. Even tried to disconnect cable line and reboot the DVR. It still tells me my program information is out of date. As a result, I can not program any recordings. Called tech support, the rep said if I let it finish downloading after reboot it should be fine. It didn't work either. I am start to think I have a defected machine. Any ideas?

I have just received a replacement 510 from Dish about three weeks ago.Did you go through the setup procedure that came with the receiver? The key requirement is that you need to do a check switch. The CSR was supposed to drag you through this when you called to activate the receiver. I'd suggest poking the SYS INFO button and see what it tells you.

If you get a Status: of something other than Good, give us the information from field "d" and the text from the "Details" page.

Thanks for your reply. I went through the whole process with the CSR when I activate my receiver.

Checked switch again. The Status is Good. P365 is under "d" section. The details has the following text:

Between xxxx and xxxx you have 24 signal losses.
Between xxxx and xxxx you have 50 signal losses.
Between xxxx and xxxx you have 72 signal losses.
Between xxxx and xxxx you have 48 signal losses.

Is it a problem with my cable connection? Looks like I need make another call to Dish. Thanks for the help.
