I have an R10 (standard def DirecTiVo) that has a malfunctioning harddrive. I have replaced it and no longer need the R10. Does anyone have a suggestion on how best to dispose of it? It seems wrong to just toss it in the trash.
You could replace the hard drive and sell it on Ebay or just sell it for parts on Ebay.
Some people will buy it to replace the drive and then use it.

eBay is the best way to go. I sell all of my used electronics there.

What do you think a fair asking price would be? I can even throw in a working "peanut" control and the manual.

Search eBay with "Completed Sales" checked, then you'll see recently completed auctions and what the final prices were.
