This is courtesy of The Old Wizard over on the Dishplayer X (http://pub92.ezboard.com/bxsnewsgroup) web site. It looks like Stargate SG-1 had been renewed for another season.

YEAH!!! I've really liked the episodes from Sci-Fi. Hope they can keep the quality of the stories up. I can do without some visual effects for get good stories.
I know I'm in the midority here, but I never got into Farscape. I thought it was trite. I'm sure if I would have given it more than 30 minutes (all I was able to watch before I changed the channel) I may have thought differently. If it was one or the other, I'm glad it was SG1. I know others will disagree. :)
See ya

I agree with you Tony. I never was able to get into Farscape. I reminded me too much of a kiddy show aimed at adults.

Well, I really loved Farscape - thought it was a real cut above anything else on, but I'm glad Stargate is going to be back for another season.

I think that article is a bit premature. There's been no official word about renewal and nothing's appeared anywhere else about this.
On the other hand, Cinescape has reported that the Farscape team is back into negotiations with Sci-Fi and the sets haven't been destroyed yet so there may be some hope.

I found Farscape a fresh series that wasn't tied down by being a franchise. I really hope the Sci-Fi will get it through their frilling heads that it is their best show or another network snatches it up for their 2003-2004 programming.
