While DirecTV taunts cable with its exclusive "NFL Sunday Ticket" package--"you can't get it on cable," blares the latest barrage of ads--talks about the package's future are intensifying.

"There's no question that NFL Sunday Ticket is the crown jewel," said NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy. "It has been very valuable to DirecTV, and likewise the cable companies and In Demand have expressed deep interest in pursuing it. We're evaluating all options."

It cure looks as if NFLST will be a changed package next season. Perhaps both DBS and Cable will offer the service. One thing appears to be a certainty. The package will cost subscribers considerably more than in the past.

I again say BOTH DBS and Cable will have the Sunday Ticket Next year. I also say that next year you will be able to buy individual Sundays instead of purchasing an entire years package.

Of course that just my prediction, but its the thing that works out best for everyone.
