B Band Connector [Archive]

What do these do? I have them connected on both of my inputs. I have had very very few issues with my HR20, so I really don't want to change anything, but I noticed a lot of advice I see on other threads talks about taking them off. Thanks for the help.

If it works, don't "fix it". :lol:
They are for the new SATs due later this year. They will be sending signals that will need to be converted into the receiver's range [why the BBCs]. :)

I took one off because I was having an issue and that fixed the problem, I called Directv and they sent out a new one. Once it arrives I plan on putting back on the receiver. BTW, the CSR didn't seem surprised by the fact my BBC was bad which makes me think Directv knows some are defective.

Or there just cheap.
Good that you had it replaced before "the rush".:)
