I want to set my DVR to record all the "Deal or No Deal" shows, but only on one channel. Can it be done? Currently it shows me multiple channels that this show is airing on. Do I just delete when I come across them, or is there a better way? Also, can you record a show in SD to save on space or no? I thought I saw that you could, but I can't find that post anymore.

Once you set it to record go in and set up one recording , and this is where you also can pad the recordings, You may one hit record button once in guide for it to record one, twice for series link (sesion pass) three times to not record.

Welcome to the forums, Discotech! :welcome_s

A "Series Link" will only record from the one channel, much like the Tivo's Season Pass. I most commonly use the guide to find the show I want, hit the record button twice and the SL is setup, ready to go.

And, you can set the defaults you want: Padding, keep until, number to retain by selecting a item you wish to record (or is already set to record) and going to the record once or record series menu on the left hand side. Then hit the menu button and a new menu, "Record Defaults" appears.

Cheers,
Tom

Sure, bring up the guide, go to the day/time the show is on (you can hit the menu button and choose the exact date and time you want to move to in the guide).
Highlight said show and hit the record button twice. You're done.

Sounds like you probably did a search to find the show.
So in the search select the first episode found on the channel you want.
Hit the select button, choose record series, and confirm it and you're done.
You can also hit the record button twice same as the guide but it might be a bit delayed and the display doesn't always update properly (bug) even though it really is setup. Thus why I suggested to just select the show and setup the series link that way.
