So we're in the middle of a mini-blizzard. Heavy lake effect snow falling 1-2 inches per hour, 6-8 on the ground already, dish covered in snow. I was worried to check my signals this morning.
Now last week I had a wind storm blow my dish off kilter so it was time to do it right and re-peak it in the process (it was never peaked before). So in doing all that I raised all my numbers to the low/mid 90's across 101. All the rest including 99 and 103 came in great. Finally my HD locals (off 99) aren't going out in a light mist.
So back to this morning, I check my signal strength and I'm still in the low 90s across the board. My transponder on 99 is only down 5 points, still at 89.
It's amazing what a properly peaked dish can take in terms of rain/snow fade.
Peak your dishes everyone!
