Don't know if anyone has asked this question yet, but is there any chance that DirecTV will broadcast the superbowl in HD for those of us who don't have our locals in HD yet?

Good question. However, have you tried an OTA?

Yes. I have a Terk indoor HD antenna and am able to pull in channel 3 out of Philly at about 55% signal on a good day. Of course, if an airplane/helicopter flies overhead (I'm quite close to the Lancaster Airport) or one of my other family memebers moves, the signal goes all pixilated. I am unable to pull in channel 21 out of Harrisburg, PA. However, I am in the Harrisburg, PA market.

Well. Terk antennas are not known for doing well. Especially indoor ones. You really need an outdoor antenna.

DirecTV will not provide any HD Superbowl broadcast except for their CBS feeds. My DirecTV contacts said they did try to negotiate a national feed for customers without a local HD CBS station, but they were not able to reach an agreement with CBS.

Gte rid of that Terk antenna, and get yourself any other antenna. If nothing else, a temporary full sized antenna placed off the ground on any available spot. I tried to make those handy little Terk antennas work for years, never had any reliable success with them.
