I see that channel 385 is the CW network just added to D*.

I emailed them to let them know of my interest since there is no CW affiliate within 70+ miles.

I get back:

Dear ,

Thanks for writing us back about receiving CW channel. As you probably heard, the UPN and WB networks recently shut down and put their best shows onto a new network called the CW Network. In most areas, the new CW Network has taken the place of the WB, however not all markets have a CW affiliate. Unfortunately, there isn’t a CW affiliate in the Springfield-Holyoke, MA area. We’re looking at possibilities for making one available to you in the future, but we can’t provide a regional CW feed in your area at this time.

Thanks again for writing.

Sincerely,

I know there's not one in my market, why do you think I wrote?????

So I called them and got it added in 5 minutes tonight, after they said it would take 4-5 days.

Thanks for having me aboard.

Why did they just add a standard def. feed of the CW and not a national HD feed of the CW? I HATE not having the HD feed of the CW in my area. I watch a surprisingly large amount of CW that I could see in HD if it was offered.

D* can make such strange decisions...

D* programming department, if you're reading this, COME ON!

The HD feeds take a lot more "jumping through whoops". The SD feed can be send out to markets that the HD can't. An example is I have DNS for Fox & CBS, so I get HD from LA & SD from both LA & NY. So it is like nobody cares about SD anymore, but good luck trying to get HD. Just my thoughts...
