Well it starting to look like my Sony G400 is starting to go out. The upper right corner is becoming fuzzy. I am looking for a replacement. I mainly use it for photo editing, video editing and forum moderation. ;)

Anyone have any recommendations. From my research my short list is.

HP LP2065
Samsung 215TW
NEC 20WMGX2

Seems that S-IPS is the monitor type of choice for photo-editing, but others seem to think the PVA is also an excellent choice.

Thought most welcome.

Based on reputation, I'd go with the Sammy.

I looked at both the 215TW and the NEC and I could definitely notice a color shift if I moved side to side on the 215TW that I did not see on the NEC. I assume this is the difference between an IPS and PVA monitor. Trying now to decide if that is a big enough difference.

Do you do a lot of photo editing Drewg with it?

I use it to edit home/riped movies, and the wife uses it to do photo editing/blending. We both like the screen, and will buy again. Her system is a PowerMac G5, and mine is being pumped by the nVidia GeForce 7300GT
