ffx1..will we ever get this smooth? Is it a bug or reality?

I am used to watching from my hr10 baseball when the other team is up at ffx1. It was very smooth and enjoyable. The hr20 is very choppy in ffx1. Earl and others, my question is is that a product of the technology or is that soemthing we can expect to improve with time? I dont report it as a bug to date...

I never really noticed it.Do (did) you have a Directivo? That's all I have to compare it to, but it's FFing is very smooth. It looks like you can see all the frames going by (not sure if you can, but it's smooth nonetheless). With the HR20, it only displays a few frames (at most 10) out of all the frames that are there (I believe it's 30 fps, so that's 900 frames in a 30 sec commercial and we only see 10 or so or roughly 1% of the frames that go by). Makes it difficult to stop FFing at the right spot after a commercial.

I've had this issue with every version, since I had the HR 20 installed the day before Thanksgiving.

WIsh that they could smooth that out as well. It does making stopping the FF much harder than on the TIVO. Also, I find a lot of inconsistency in using the x seconds back button, mostly due to not really knowing how far into the program I've gone after a FF. So, when I REV to get to where I want to start, I still don't get to the right place.

Seemingly minor issue, but yet one that makes viewing a lot more difficult <sigh>
