I have a rc24 remote it is not controlling my hr 20dvr it is working controlling my reciever and tv.

I had this problem this week. Try a system reset it worked for me.

The RC 24 came with the H-20, & can be set to work with the HR-20. Are you in IR or RF?

You're controlling your receiver with it right?
Are you then using AV1 or 2 for the HR?
Did you do the reset?

I m sorrry AV1 is for my surround sound .The directv logo was controlling the hr20dvr

I had to use the red button reset as the manul controls on the hr20 did not work either.

And it still doesn't work right?
I would see if you can get it to work in IR first. Then go back & see if it will change to RF. The RC-24 is one of the first RF remotes & I don't know if it can do two RF units. I know it can do one HR-20 from the DTV position.

I'm lost now. You said it controlled your receiver, did you mean your recorder?
If in doubt, set it back to IR. Use the front panel to navigate into the setup menu.
I've screwed my up so bad I've had to do this to get every thing "in Sync" in IR, before I could then go to RF.

Look at the big picture this would be an excellent reason to buy a Harmony remote, you'll love it. ;) ;)

If in doubt: IR as it's the default. :)
