This is getting frustrating. I got the new software version on Friday, I think it was. And I've had to do two red button resets already. First, it was going along okay but then in the middle of just viewing the guide, (I was also recording a movie), I was doing a page down in the guide, when it just froze completely. This had never happened to me before this latest upgrade. Hung up just like a Windows pc does once in a while. So I had to do a rbr and of course since it was in the middle of recording a movie, that was lost. It came back to recording the movie like it was, but missing about 10 minutes of the movie during the rbr boot-up.

The second one might help someone that knows more about these than I do. I haven't had any sound problems at all since the first upgrade after I bought it in October of '06. I have a Pioneer 50" pdp5071hd hooked up via the hdmi interface. Anyway I decided that since I turned off Native a long time ago because it took so long to change channels, I decided to turn it back on to see if it was fixed. Wrong thing to do. As soon as I turned Native on a came back to the same channel I was watching, (D* CBS Superbowl Hoopla), I started getting major audio problems. Every 20 or so seconds I would get this real loud humming, clicking burst for a few seconds like the person talking was getting a 2 second electrical jolt. (I don't know exactly how to describe it.) I hadn't heard that since the very first after I purchased it. I quickly turned Native off and the problem disappeared. I don't know what Native has to do with the audio but it sure messed with mine. Hope this helps someone in fixing it.

Try to RBR then unplug the HR20 at the welcome screen leave unplugged for 5 min then restart. Seems to clear the buffers and cache's is what I read here.

I just purchased the HR20 on friday and had to do a forced download to get 0x120 did the unplug thing and have had no problems so far but not much "3 days" use so I can't say this version is good or not.

Craig, keep up the good work. Your posting in regards to the survey can be very helpful.
I have to wonder about a 65% chance of returning because of native "on" or whether the user had "other issues". I'm using native on, but my [waiting for my 4th] replacements have been for other things. Hummm....
Food for thought.

I don't think I had any other issues. I didn't have any other problems before I turned it on. It was no coincidence. Just as soon as I turned on "native", I started having problems, and just as quick as I turned it off, they went away.
