hd locals in new orleans?

I have noticed on this months bill hd local charge is listed. Does this mean those in the New Orleans area will receive hd locals soon?

Yes! I updated to the H20-100's and the AU9-Slimline 5-LNB Dish to get locals in HD, suppose to be turned on by the end of Febuary :) !! However, heard of some new satelite launch problems, so there may be a delay! :confused:

I had the samething on my bill i live in the Flint/Saginaw/Bay City MI DMA, if thats the case I will be jumping for joy!!:jump3:

I have been receiving HD on NO local OTA since my voom days. Still using their receiver too. Amazing as currently I am north of Picayune about 100 mi from NO.

I think this is just a function of the new packages/fee structure and D* is adjusting that to our grandfathered packages.

What used to be listed as the HD Package @ 9.99 is now listed as the HD Access Charge @ 9.99

They've also itemized an HBO HD charge @ 0.00 and Showtime HD charge @ 0.00 along with the new Local HD charge @ 0.00.

Each of these items that are listed @ 0.00 are items that are included by default with the HD Access charge if you have them in your standard subscription.

I just used the D* availability search and it says that HD locals are not yet offered via satellite in New Orleans....
