I posted this elsewhere to no response - anyone here with any insight ?

I just went through my whole system last weekend - I have 2 ground blocks (one ungrounded) and 3 barrel connectors between my dish and my consolidation point in the attic on any one cable. And that overall cable run is approximately 125feet, PLUS whatever the run to the box inside is (15 to 50 feet). I replaced all the ground blocks and barrel connectors with 3ghz rated ones. The system tunes fine, rain fade has not been much of an issue, so I guess I will leave well enough alone for now but now I wonder how much fudge is built into that 100 foot spec...... Would you put in an amplifier, or am I just fidgeting over nothing ? This is an AT9 on a pole in the backyard, two H20's, one TS160, and one very old RCA from my single LNB days. No WB68's or anything like that, just barrel connectors for now at the consolidation point, and some OTA diplexors on the non-H20 lines.

If you are getting good signal strength, then I would not do anything.
