What if I get a PO Box number that is 20 miles away from me, so I can qualify for distant network ? Will this work ? Has anyone done this ?

I don't think so, because a PO Box is NOT considered a "physical address" of a customer. (people get mail at a PO Box; they do not LIVE there, nor would you be watching TV there :D ;) )
A PO Box IS acceptable for receiving the bill on the "billing address" portion of your account, but does not drive your qualification for locals, distants, RSN's, etc, of which the "physical address" does.
Do a search on "moving" & you find several ways of getting a new physical address for your account to qualify. ;)
